Conditions NOT suited for a Telehealth consultation

These include:

  • Situations requiring a physical examination (e.g testing range of motion, palpation for abnormalities).

  • Cases needing surgical intervention

  • Biomechanical assessment, castings and in-depth gait analysis.

  • Final fittings for orthotics.

  • Complex foot issues - post surgical assessment, nerve compression, chronic pain.

How it works

Booking a telehealth podiatry appointment with Foot Focus is easy.


Step 1: Book an appointment

Use online booking system to book a suitable time.

A confirmation email, new patient registration and telehealth declaration form will be emailed. These must be completed before the appointment.

A secure video link will also be sent.

Step 2: Send Documentation

Send any relevant paperwork:

  • referral
  • xray results
  • ACC forms
  • registration form
  • telehealth declaration form
  • photos of your foot from several angles.

Step 3: Device Check

Please ensure you have a suitable device (computer, tablet, smartphone) with a suitable internet connection and working camera and sound.

Step 4: Ensure Privacy

Choose a private, quiet space for your appointment.

Public spaces like cafes or open plan offices are not suitable due to confidentiality issues.

Step 5: Arrange Payment

Internet banking/bank transfer prior to or at the time of appointment.
